A Basket of Fun

Ahhh...to be 1 & 3 again. My girls spent almost an hour just sticking felt flowers into their hair while sitting in the launrdy basket. Sydney kept sticking the flowers thru the holes in the basket so Audrey could put them back on her. It was extra cute.

We weren't able to play in the backyard today as it was all soggy & wet as it rained my whole drive home.

We also made a trip to Old World Wisconsin - I'll post some pictures when I get them from my mom - they went too but are having some computer problems.

My 15 seconds of fame.....

Fox 11 news came to the downtown market this weekend. I was on the news :) It was before 8am and a BIG surprise so all & all I think it went well. They also interviewed Mary (she paints glass) and Mar (who makes yummy bath products) This clip has Mary & my part......

Lovely New Displays

I needed a fresh new way to display my bracelets so I made these fun displays with a tin container, some floral foam, 18 gauge wire, some river rocks & a little bit of excelsior. I think they turned out really nice.

I think they look great with my new display cards too! I just reordered more too I think they really step-it-up a notch for me.

An Anniversary Gift

Recently we were invited to an anniversary party for a friend's parents......so I used freezer paper and my new scanner (thanks mom) to transfer the photo images onto fabric - just regular ol' cotton.

Then I picked out some pretty purple fabrics & with mumsey's help (I loathe rotary cutting, she doesn't) we made a fun photo pillow.

I think it turned out pretty nice!

They had yummy cake & veggie lasagna at the party too!
And I know I haven't talked about my plant lately so it's time! The last 2 flowers clusters fell off this weekend and guess what I found? Another cluster just starting! I am very excited for the plants sudden take off,

Happy Birthday Girls

We had a party for our girls this
weekend......I made my first attempt at cake decorating as you can see in the first picture. It was supposed to be "topsy-turvy". The instructions said to use supports to hold the uneven (on purpose) layers together. But I made ours much smaller then the recipe so I omitted that step. You can see what an important step that really was. The top layer actually slide off when we walked out of the room.

The next picture is of the cake we bought at pick-n-save. $30 well spent!
