Water City Grill Carrots (My Fav!!)

1 pound sliced carrots
6T Maple Syrup
1 1/2T Butter
Sale & Pepper to Taste

Cook a pound of sliced carrots with about 6 tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 ½ tablespoons of butter with salt and pepper to taste.

When you place the carrots in the saucepan, the syrup initially won't cover them; but once the syrup is brought to a boil over high heat, it will liquefy and provide coverage.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered 15 to 20 minutes until the carrots are tender (or to preferred level of crunchiness).

These are the best cooked carrots I have ever had! When we go out to eat at Water City Grill I always get an extra order of carrots to take home.

Birthday Quilt

Here are photos of a birthday quilt I just made for a friend.....their daugther just turned 1. Although you can't see it there is a fun little "happy first birthday" tag on the back with all our names & date on it.........

It sure is hard to take a nice photo of a quilt I tell you!!!

Hi, my name is Edi Royer. I live in rural Iowa with my boyfriend, Jesse, and our dog, Harley. For my full-time job, I work in a factory that makes semi transmissions as a machine operator. I am also getting my MBA. In my free time (when I'm not scrapping) I enjoy snowmobiling, mud dragging and having fun with my family and friends. I like to think I'm a mix of feminine and fun :)

How long have you been creating?I started paper crafting about 12 years ago. I started by making hand-stamped greeting cards for family and friends. I then entered into scrap booking about 10 years ago. The company I bought all my stamps from started selling scrap booking supplies and I was instantly hooked!

What is your favorite part of your creating?I love making albums that people will have around for generations to come. I love it that people ask me to preserve their lives for them in meaningful scrapbooks. It is a really special craft. And of course, I love the creative side as well...trying new things and making a mess :)
