We are very lucky to have a nice little beach very close to our house.....we have been spending as much time as we can there lately. But with our crazy Wisconsin weather it can be 85 and sunny one day, 65 and rainy the next!
So this weekend was my Uncle Gerry's 60th birthday....my Aunt decided to throw him a surprise party. It was great & he didn't know it was coming! It was at a hotel with a little water park so all the kids (okay me too) had a great time playing.....I'll share more photos of the party later (I have to wait for people to email them to me - yes, I left my camera in my purse!)
-and no, you are not hallucinating. I did put a picture of myself in a swimsuit online!
Here our little Syd is donning a pink waffle shirt with her big sisters skirt.....the shirt is accented by sparkly green fairy wings and the whole look is pulled together with pink and black legwarmers - Flashdance style... Funny little kid - did you guess she whipped this ensemble up all by herself?
My living room...it was a burnt-orangish color with a faux-finish that was an accident - we were sold 2 different colors of paint while painting! Yikes....So I really toned it down and went with a nice neutral called "dune" I also put on slipcovers on the furniture. They went on pretty easily & I still need to rehang my pics and I also want to make some fun pillows for the couch.
I also picked this cute chair up from the thrift for $6 and this pillow from Shopko for only 1.99.
Here are a few photos from Christmas Morning. We all had a lovely time. Audrey was too funny & gushed over everything - including clothes & socks......it was too funny.
I also received a steam mop (my results of that are TBD still) and a Keurig coffee maker (see photo). I am in LOVE with that thing! I usually drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day & these ones are perfect. Each time - perfect.
My little girls just love to turn on their radio & get down. We like to call it "finding your funk". Our regular dance party grooves are Michael Jackson - he is the king of pop - just ask Audrey. Sydney likes to hold onto the shelf & jump but Audrey will just flail around. It is getting to be hard to get her out of her little tutu outfit so mom is making them both tutus that can be worn over any outfit (the one she has now is sewn to a little body suit). Shhhhh...don't tell them.
In crafting news I have picked up some cool new copper pieces - I am SO curios to see what they turn out like from the sulfur...we'll see I just need a few minutes to try....
to purchase this neat custom made name photograph for our home. I have been wanting one for sometime and her prices are SO reasonable I decided it was time!
Here is the proof.....it is being mounted as we speak...please feel free to contact her for your own photo. She can put names, words, whatever you'd like. What an awesome wedding gift they would make!
